The Bugatti Veyron is due for a replacement at some point, once they offload all the stuff no one wants to buy anymore. And while it's not going to be the Galibier, it is going to be... something. So it makes us wonder why Bugatti is testing what looks like a Veyron with a metal cage wrapped around the engine.
The old automotive cliche is "Batman, your car has blah blah blah." But this one, testing on the Nurburgring (which is also an automotive cliche, at this point) looks to be for Bane.
All the rumors say that the next Bugatti, whatever it is, will probably be some sort of hybrid-engined option to both compete with and surpass the LaFerrari, the McLaren P1, and the Porsche 918. And it'll drop next year at the earliest, but possibly even later than that.
But what sort of hybrid are they planning? One made out of K'Nex?
Actually, that sounds like the glorious dream machine of my childhood. I'll take one K'Nex Bugatti, please.
