Car sales in the UK dropped below 2.5 million for the first time since 2001, reports the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Although they say that a banner 2004 is to blame for the drop, it seems like they're just putting a spin on what seems like a dip in automotive spending across the board, by and large. The US is projected to be down by a million over last year, and to the Brits, this 5% drop is a fairly significant number, economically.
