It's not in our nature to be mysterious — but we can't tell you which automaker and we can't tell you why — we also can't tell you where — mostly cause we don't know ourselves. But we do know the following:
• The company is an automaker.
• The company will be making a $1.4 billion investment.
• The company already built pickup trucks in Thailand.
• The company is looking for a cage fight between Indonesia and Thailand to determine site location — two countries enter, one country leaves.
Oh, and the company's probably GM — cause although Ford'll be selling the Ranger in Thailand, GM's still the only company building trucks in Thailand. Also, don't we just love it when a country starts calling press conferences to announce a company is thinking of locating a plant there?
