The 18th green at Pebble Beach has now been returned to its regularly scheduled cries of "Fore!" The winner has been declared, and Jay Leno's barn-find Duesenberg is most likely back at his Burbank facility. So what took home the big honor? A 1937 Delage D8-120 Portout Aero Coupe owned by Sam and Emily Mann along with Alfredo Brener. Quoth Mr. Mann on his fourth win at the nation's most chichi car cavalcade, "I'm shocked that I was able to win against a competitive field that included such incredibly designed Alfa Romeos." But Delage, a celebrated marque this year, took it, sending other big spenders home with air-sucking chest wounds as big as the holes in their wallets. The Car Connection's got more here.
