'Brake Fluid Basics'

Do you know anything about brake fluid? No? You don't? Well, good thing you're here. Listen to Master Technician Pat Goss walk you through what you need to know.

Since MotorWeek started, Mr. Goss has been slinging out more knowledge than you have probably ever had. He also makes an art out of explaining complicated mechanical intricacies in just one take.

Basically, Pat Goss takes the time today to let you know what brake fluid is, when you need to change it, and what your options are. And that's about it. It's three minutes where you only learn not to use DOT5 brake fluid. And to flush the system every two years. That's about it.

Ok, enough of me. Learn yo'self some shizzle.

MotorWeek Theater is our showcase of some of our favorite classic reviews from public television's finest motoring program. How does this video only have 1,511 views? It's like someone put the brakes on those pageviews.

I'm just curious as to when you'd use the DOT5. I've never seen or heard of Silicone Brake Fluid. *shrugs*
