Some of the sound geeks over at Bose put aside their tuners and amps and created a high-tech automobile suspension system using strangely audio-like technologies. The system uses a "power amplifier" to send data received from road sensors to linear motors installed at each wheel, which apply force to dampen a car's pitch and roll strategically. We could nerd out here all day, but you'd be better served by going to the site and seeing for yourself. If you're into that kind of thing. [Thanks to Brad for the tip.]
