The BMW 2-series coupe is definitely a favorite around these parts, and the 228i coupe might be the sweet spot in the range with its lower price and lower weight compared to the M235i. For 2015, BMW makes the 228i even more enticing with a Track Handling Package.
BMW announced Monday the newly optional Track Handling Package for the 228i coupe "embraces the desires of the most enthusiastic BMW drivers." Which is a long way of saying it adds the Adaptive M Suspension, variable sport steering, the M Sport brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. BMW should just call it the 228iS.
There's no word yet on how much the package will cost, but expect it to be at least a couple grand in addition to what the $33,000 a 228i costs. Yes, you can have it with either the six-speed manual or eight-seed automatic. You should definitely get it with the manual.
