BMW Invests Big Bucks in Mini, New Models Planned

BMW, acknowledging the Mini's smashing success, will invest roughly $190 million in upgrades to the the UK plant from whence the Mini comes. In addition to modernization, AutoWeek reports the investment clears the way for Mini to expand its franchise, with possibilities for new models including a sport wagon, reMiniscent of the Clubman Estate, and a roadster, which are both reportedly being considered.
