Yesterday, Slate's William Saletan had an interesting piece on lab-grown meat, and now Hondas all up ons with a new upholstery fabric. polypropylene terephthalate (PPT), is made from propanediol (1-3DPO) — a corn derivative — and terephthalic acid, which is petroleum-derived. Honda claims that the growing plants use the C02 produced during the manufacturing process. What's more, the fabric's set to debut in a new fuel-cell vehicle that'll drop in three years.
