A giant BMW X5 was swallowed right up on the streets of New York City on Tuesday after a water main broke on the Upper West Side, opening a sinkhole.
The hole opened up directly under the parked X5 after water and sewage from the busted main flooded the surrounding blocks, according to the Gothamist, which has a ton of photos for you to check out.

The flood drowned some buildings in up to six feet of water and the supply was reportedly running brown and gross up to five blocks away. Bus routes were interrupted and traffic was rerouted, and the water was eventually shut off after half an hour of flooding.

But are we sure the BMW didn’t park there after the sinkhole opened up? Would the driver even notice?
