The star of this weekend's Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas was this 1964 Ford Fairlane K-code which sold for an amazing $700,000 with all proceeds going to charity. This very red Fairlane was originally constructed by Rousch Industries as a promotional vehicle for the auction company. Last night it was auctioned with all proceeds going to benefit the Armed Forces Foundation.

Powered by a 522 horsepower 427 V8 attached to a Tremec five speed transmission, we imagine this vehicle would be a lot of fun to drive. According to the auction listing, no one has really tested the car's performance out yet. All mileage currently on the car came from loading and unloading the car for display purposes.

It appears the car's new owner won't be the one to put the 522 horsepower to the street either. After the Fairlane sold for $700,000 to well known Barrett-Jackson buyer Ron Pratte, he donated the car back to the company to be auctioned for charity at their Scottsdale auction in January.
