Barney Oldfield in the Blogosphere

Literary blogger, KidDigIt built a Web homage to auto racing pioneer, Barney Oldfield. In case you failed auto-racing history, around the turn of the previous century Oldfield started racing for some guy named Henry Ford, who went on to build a couple more cars, only a few of which were faster than the 999 Oldfield raced. Among his racing achievements, Oldfield was the first to traverse a mile-long track in under one minute, he held the land-speed record of 131.25 mph from 1910 to 1927, and ran the first one-hundred-mph lap at Indianapolis. See? And you thought history was just a bunch of old, black-and-white people in weird hats who walked too fast.
