And speaking of supercars...
Chrysler's mid-engined, AMG V-12-powered, ME Four Twelve supercar was ready for its closeup yesterday, and MotorWeek's Kevin Wilson got to take it for a spin at the Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca in Monterey. Chrysler's own tests show that the 850hp, quad-turbo rocket sled will go from 0 to 60 mph faster than a snowflake would melt on a hotplate (2.9 seconds) to 100 mph in 6.2 seconds and to the quarter-mile in 10.6 seconds at 136 mph, and reach an estimated top speed of (oh mama) 248 mph. I have to check my conversion chart, but I believe that approaches the escape velocity of the space shuttle. Strangely, Wilson arrived at the end of his test run six minutes before he left.
