Automotive Advertising In Jamaica Takes New Slant

In 1978, Jamaican authorities banned advertising billboards, and recently have been cracking down on illegal sign-posters. So the advertisers moved their ads to automobile windows, which has Kingston and St. Andrews Corporation authorities in a tizzy, as rear windows of vehicles are decorated with signage promoting events such as Player's Ball - Pimps n Ho's Style at the Quad. (We're sorry we missed that one.) However, singer Lloyd Lovindeer doesn't have a problem with the ads, saying, "Advertising is all about getting the message across, so by any means legally. Especially if is a crissas yuh driving an everybody looking at it, the better for you. The blinger the better." Indeed, Lloyd. Indeed.
