Back side of the avionics racks. The C-17 has all rack mounted avionics, to get to the backside where the connectors and databus lines are at you unzip those covers to access it. So much easier than older aircraft. Read more

There was an urban combat training for 2 days in Denver starting on 6/17/2008, centering around the old Children’s Hospital right next to PSL (a hospital which was still in use). This was quite disruptive to the hospital residents (and us at the Ronald McDonald House right next door) but I thought it was pretty cool.…
