I am really going to miss reading his articles here on FA. If I was to run for president, Tyler would be my choice for military advisor because I know that his loyalty lies with no company or branch of service; he looks out for the service members and taxpayers, telling it like it is and not afraid to ruffle feathers. Tyler will be missed, he is a great writer. Hopefully FA keeps up the good work going forward. Best of luck Tyler! Read more
I hope Tyler will continue his insightful writings at Time. Have to say, FA has been one of my favorites. The retro articles alone always got my attention, as I’m a bit of a history nut myself. Tyler would come up with obscure military hardware like the B18 that I thought I was the only person remembering that one. Read more
Aw, hell, I really will miss his work here. I’ve tried to write a few chunks of words on the topic now but they’ve all been garbage, so I’ll just leave it at that. Good luck to Tyler in his endeavors, and good luck to Jalopnik in managing FA’s future. I’m so glad it actually took root and flourished here. Read more
Even though on the odd occasion I sometimes felt like, “Hey, stay in your lane, buddy”, Tyler you did some breathtaking articles dude. Not just internety shit that passes time, but stuff that made folks wanna do more research. But youd then do that research for us too. Thanks for sweet F.A. Read more

God damnit... Good for Tyler... Terrible for the Gawker network. Read more
I was sitting in the HR waiting room as the Time Inc. staff was talking about Tyler’s background. Oddly public, but hey that’s great news! I feel odd having heard that beforehand. Read more
I don’t really post anything on FA but I read every article and spend at least 30 minutes to an hour a day reading the comments section. The comments are almost -(almost!) - as good as the articles and I often go back and re-read older articles and even the comments as well. The regulars who contribute long and… Read more
Probably some of the better/most interesting articles at Jalopnik were from Tyler. Which isn’t hard to do since most articles at Jalopnik are clickbait fluff. Read more
Tyler made me care about the FA articles despite not having been too interested about this kind of stuff prior. THAT should be all you need to lend credence to his skill. Read more
