Happy I read this, but sad you didn’t finish the race and had to abandon the car. It would of been cool to see you finish the whole thing. While reading this I was thinking “cool, finally another really interesting article about weird cars driven in Europe, haven’t seen this in a while,” I didn’t realize you weren’t a… Read more

It's one of the most thrilling cars I have ever driven.
I disagree. The 675LT is a no go. This thing? It will do it all. Nose lift, parking camera, good ride, decent mpg. If you have the means, this will work for two. Read more
Dont forget the super sexy rear lights:
I’ve been longboarding for about 12 years, now. I suck for many reasons: I was fairly old when I started (late 20s), I’m even older now, I’ve never been remotely athletic, and I’m a giant pansy. Still, there are few greater joys than finding a nice hill with smooth pavement and getting your carve on. I recommend it to… Read more
I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour the Baikonur Cosmodrome about a decade ago, and visited the facilities where most of the R-7 boosters are prepped, integrated, and launched. One of the tour guides commented that it was an A-1 red letter day for the downrange Kazakh farmers when one of the strap-on…

Pilot Super Sports in all their variants are generally fantastic road tires and they “can” be used on track, but you will regret it. Once they get too hot they do fall apart quicker than say, a Hankook RS3 or Bridgestone RE-71R. I run Pilot Super Sports on my e90 M3 for street duty only and they are, by far, my… Read more
Oh, and here’s the whole lap:
I’m a huge VW fan, but think VW makes some horrible choices for their product offering in the US. They seriously have no understanding of the US. I think they need to understand they can’t out Toyota Toyota, they can’t also go the premium route like the tried 10 years or so ago. Seriously VW, just be you. Be… Read more
I’ve owned one. Great fuel economy and torque, the most fun to drive in the segment (car like driving experience) and the most fuel efficient so far. Factory tires are not stellar they are low resistance aimed to improve fuel efficiency. Interior quality is meh, but then is a truck. A bit cheaper to own and mantain… Read more
Problem is, if you owned a McLaren F1, you would need to live in an appropriate house, with an appropriate garage, suited to owning a McLaren F1. You see, I too once had dreams of owning super, hyper expensive cars. Then I met a couple of people who own such cars. Twelve thousand square foot homes - with garages on… Read more
This doesn’t surprise me at all. I work at an avionics company and we support stuff that was designed 30+ years ago (if it’s still flying we’re still supporting it, even if we haven’t built it for years.) We’ve got a lab for our first CRT-based display/integrated avionics system that runs on an Apple IIe. Our IT… Read more
