@wagons plz: Hell, at that point couldn't they just call it "holding the wheels for ransom"? They could even work out some dealie like in South America where heads of state and important officials are "kidnapped" on a regular basis and released once a suitable chunk of cash has been "donated" to their captors. Did he post a route map anywhere? I drove with my dad from the San Francisco Bay Area to Long Island over the course of five days in my Miata, but didn't do anything cool like this. A lot of it looked awfully familiar though, but maybe that's because the middle of the country kinda all looks the same. Read more

Hah, just noticed this story... I met this guy with Scandinavian Flick at the SF Auto Show last year. We spent a good amount of time talking with him, and he was impressed we actually know something about cars. I wasn't impressed with him, though, and now I know why. Read more
