People say the same thing about New Jersey if they have never been there or have never left Newark Airport. Judging entire cities by their sports fans, news stories, or reputation without actually experiencing the place for yourself is in poor form. Read more

"But they're not as bad as New Orleans, where you're driving down a nice, quiet residential street, and all of a sudden, BAM! You've fallen through the earth and everyone in China is staring at you." Read more

"You could ask a hipster from Portland where the worst roads are, and he'd ponder it for a second, and stroke his beard while food particles fall out, and then he'd say "PORTLAND!" even though his sole method of transportation is a fixed-gear bike and he rides it on the sidewalk. " Read more

I bottomed out an S-10 on a road near Tulane in New Orleans. It was pretty amazing since the street was lined with what I am sure are nearly million dollar houses. I'm happy to report they have since resurfaced that road and it's not so bad, but there are still plenty of roads I wouldn't dare take a car down. Read more
