And as you pointed out, people have been making insane engines long before solid works and CAD/CAM. Take a look at he Mercedes and Auto Union engines of the 1930's! I’ve kind of explored all those options. Great if you’re an engineer and know solid works. I think creating the sand mold and pouring the block sounds the most interesting to me, but I really want to weld and engine block together. It seems like a really fun way to build an engine. Read more
