Well, most states (that I know of) requires you to register, and to register you need insurance, which ends up being a lot of money for a non-used car. This is supposed to be a one-time payment to avoid racking up non-payment penalties. Read more

Negative, you have to pay for the whole year if you PNO’d then decide later that you want to register after all. So you lose money on the PNO fee. You could have come out ahead if you cut your insurance off for those months, but you’re better off with an Affidavit Of Non-Use if you go that route. Read more

If SoCal AAA let you pay for a DMV transaction with a card, they either made a mistake or you had a hookup! AAA only takes cash or checks for DMV transactions. Read more

I got a good lol here. But yeah–I started detailing engine parts I had off, scrubbing screws... it was getting scary. Read more

Yeah, it’s really a bummer to be alone in the garage for ever and ever. Sometimes it’s nice, but it does get old. I’m grateful that my wife will help me with some stuff sometimes but it’s much better when somebody can come through who’s done a certain job before. Read more

No opinion on the price but I just needed to share that I love OG Z3s, especially in blue. Would be cool to get one before they get to E30-level craziness on pricing. (Though I bet they never get quite that hight.) Read more
