Melbourne authorities are charging F1 star Lewis Hamilton with "intentionally losing control of a vehicle," the coolest sounding crime ever, because of an epic burnout he did in front of fans before the Australian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes was impounded in March under Australia's anti-hoon laws after laying down a killer burnout on the streets of Melbourne for some of his fans. Now he's formally been charged with a crime. The event itself isn't surprising given Hamilton's penchant for getting busted for driving fast, but it seems like the Australian authorities are going out of their way to make an example out of him.

Hamilton apologized, but we think due to his expertise in "intentionally losing control of a vehicle," he should be given some kind of dispensation. (Hat tip to Slave2anMG!)
