Volkswagen's Chinese automotive venture, FAW-Volkswagen, announced it will sell the new Audi A6 in China in an attempt to dislodge BMW from its grip on that country's high-end car market. The A6, which will hit showrooms in mid-2005, will be offered only with the 4.2-liter V8, in front- or all-wheel drive. VW officials indicated the move will finally show Audi's "kung-fu is more advanced than BMW's," and promise to avenge the death of its Shaolin master, Fan-lin, whom BMW had dispatched with the "mesmerizing eye of doom" many years ago.
