Audi’s new R18 emerged as the fastest of the World Endurance Championship LMP1s, qualifying first and second for the 6 Hours of Silverstone. Both Porsche 919s ran almost a second behind the Audis, and they were visibly irked that they weren’t as fast in the moist conditions. Turbo problems on the Toyota TS050s held them back even further.
