The Audi R8 GT is a little lighter and a little more powerful than the Audi R8 5.2 FSI it's based on. It's also a lot sexier, something conveniently highlighted by these new photos.
Inheriting the V10 engine from the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560, just 333 R8 GTs will be made and its currently undecided if any of those will make it stateside. Over the regular R8 V10, power grows from 525 to 560 HP while torque remains the same. To set the GT apart, it wears red cylinder covers, a fixed rear wing, little carbon winglets on the aggressive front fascia and a bunch of GT badges. All that boosts the price from $146,000 for the standard V10 to an estimated $255,000 for the GT.
