It's time for us to come clean about why we hiked our asses out to San Francisco. We're at a swank event hosted by Audi to introduce its 2005 A6 to the press. We hadn't considered our status in the fourth estate until we got the invite, but we've been wearing our press fedoras proudly — taking notes on everything from the size of the redesigned car's van-dyke mustache to how many buttons and knobs it takes to turn on the air conditioning. Sure, it looks like we're doing a lap dance for our sporty, progressive and sophisticated sponsor, Audi, but no one else would give us the key fobs to their cars. Speaking of which, we're driving one today, so posting may be somewhat light until later, when we'll offer some sort a wrap-up, including lots of positive adjectives. Stay tuned.
