The Jaguar Project 7 Is A Smoking Hot Roadster For One

I didn't think that the Jaguar F-Type could get any sexier, but somehow the design mavens at Jaaaaaag have found a way by digging into the brand's storied past.

Meet the Project 7, a one-off sports car concept based on the F-Type that's set to debut at this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed. And it only has one seat. That's fine, right? I mean, driving around with another person is pretty overrated. This way you can keep all the fun to yourself.

So why call it Project 7? That's how many times Jaguar won Le Mans between 1951 and 1990. That blue paintwork is also reminiscent of the Jaguar D-Type racing cars from the 1950s.

It's also got a fairing and single-seat cockpit setup similar to the D-Type. There's also a lower windshield, a revised front fascia, and a racing-inspired interior.

Besides all that nifty heritage-inspired accoutrements, it has the same 5.0-liter, 550-horsepower supercharged V8 and 8-speed paddle shift autobox as the F-Type.

Looks pretty hot to me, and it's a shame there's only one. Hopefully we'll see more this weekend.

Update: More sexy photos and a video!
