Aston Martin has taken the wraps off of a version of its new DB9 built specifically for racing. The DBR9 GT racing car will be tweaked to churn out 600hp, and sport a racing-grade, six-speed sequential gearbox. Aston Martin Racing will likely run two DBR9s at Sebring, after which it will prepare to run in Le Mans 24 hours in June 2005, which it won in 1959 with drivers Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby. Word is, "selected" (read: filthy stinking rich) customers will be able to purchase racing-spec DBR9s in the near future.
