Yesterday, a press release from the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois claimed the death of John DeLorean had boosted sales of old GTOs, and that the value of Delorean cars was expected to rise "in the next few days." The same release indicated, with the linguistic subtleties of a birthday card written by tort lawyers, that Carroll Shelby is next on the list.

Shelby, who is 82 and received a heart transplant in 1990, will host a car show at the museum on May 28, 2005. The museum was in preliminary talks with DeLorean to do the same in 2006.

Ahh. The flapping wings of vultures make such a happy sound, no?
