KLM ended an 80-year-long partnership with McDonnell-Douglas when it retired its last commercial MD-11 this fall, and to honor the three-engined plane, the airline teamed up with Airbnb to refurbish its cabin into a home.

The task landed on Dutch interior design and branding firm TANK's table, who transformed the MD-11 into the coziest plane the world has ever seen, parked on the runway of Amsterdam's Schipol Airport in all its glory.

Airbnb is now giving away three nights (November 28, 29 or 30th) for 2-4 people each inside the KLM MD-11. All you have to do is tell them why you should be the chosen one.

DISCUSSION

Two things:

A. This is kinda cool, I'd totally live in a house made out of an old airplane.

B. What the hell, they didn't turn the cockpit into a sitting room? What kind of cut-rate designers did they hire?

B.... subsection 1?: What's in the front half of the jet?
