Rapper Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) was kicked off a chartered private jet in Florida because he and his entourage completely ignored warnings from the pilot that smoking marijuana is most certainly not allowed onboard an aircraft. Yes, even when you’re a famous rapper.
According to TMZ, prior to taking off from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Wayne and his associates apparently communicated to the pilot that they wished to get high — while they got high. The pilot denied the request, and the flight took off.
Once airborne, Wayne and his crew either forgot about the pilot’s warning or deliberately chose to ignore it. (Probably the latter.)
Either way, they burned one down while the jet was in the air, and that decision went over like a lead balloon. Just 17 minutes after departure, the pilot determined that “Flight 420” was over, and they returned to Ft. Lauderdale.

How has Lil Wayne reacted to this incident? According to TMZ, his representatives are claiming that the aircraft reversed course due to a “mechanical issue.” Lil Wayne is certainly no stranger to drama involving private aircraft, having been the subject of a lawsuit over unpaid jet charter fees less than a year ago.
With lyrics like, “And even if the sky come falling, bitch I’ma still be high,” somehow I don’t think this episode is going to deter Lil Wayne from partaking in his fair share of chronic.
