The California sunshine has taken a break for the last week and rain has been unrelenting, especially in Los Angeles, where widespread flooding has turned parts of the state's freeway system into aqueducts. Some great images of the flooding below.

The pummeling weather southern California has experienced over the last week has dropped as much as an inch an hour of rain at times. Since LA is pretty much all desert covered in roads, the natural drainage has been overwhelmed and roadways have turned into waterways. The same storm system is now headed for the even more flood-prone southwest. Remember folks, if you don't know how deep water is, don't go in.
