Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso present some serious Eau Rouge porn. Alonso briefly overtook Webber out of the pits, who counterattacked immediately, and slipped past the Ferrari at the bottom of Eau Rouge with an RCH to spare.

Guess who’s back in a black-and-gold car with a Brazilian helmet? It’s Bruno Senna, who finally got Nick Heidfeld’s seat at Renault, which he promptly qualified 7th. His race was not that good, but still, it’s great to see him back.

Some Belgian Grand Prix history: This exhibit is from the slightly chaotic 1998 race, and shows the slightly damaged cars of Eddie Irvine (Ferrari) and David Coulthard (McLaren) after a maelström of a start. Coulthard was back after the race was restarted, and he promptly knocked the other Ferrari of Michael Schumacher out of the race, after which Schumacher came very, very close to knocking him all the way to the rear wall of the McLaren garage.

You rarely see these two so cordial with each other. Then again, Vettel is almost certainly world champion now, and Webber has just signed a new contract with Red Bull for 2012, giving him one more chance for the title.

It’s hard to see how anyone could’ve had a better time at the race than safety car driver Bernd Mayländer. You’re paid to drive an SLS AMG around Spa at full throttle on a slightly wet track? Hmmm, okay.
