A vintage Corvette convertible is a great piece of motoring history and, as soon as I mention one, I'm guessing you can picture the owner. Like the cars themselves, the owners tend to be Americans in their 60s or 70s, fairly wide, increasingly expensive to maintain, and in constant need of some sort of top to keep the sun from cracking their softer surfaces. Zing!
