We're a day away from the official unveiling of the latest edition to the Land Rover family, the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport. But since you can't keep a good car from leaking out early, here is the full SUV in all its glory, care of Autoblog Italia. It looks good!
This seven-seat SUV replaces the Freelander/LR2 in the Land Rover lineup, and boats a streamlined shape somewhere between the Evoque and the Range Rover models. It ended up looking quite a bit like the Land Rover Discovery Concept from the New York Auto Show, which I'm fine with.
Few other details are known at this point, except that Land Rover has said the compact SUV will have "5+2" seating, and that speculation has put the starting price just below $50,000.
We do know the 2015 Discovery Sport will not get the "transparent hood" or "remote control-drive by iPhone" but folks at Land Rover have promised "that stuff is coming" and the production SUV most definitely won't be short on gadgets.
