The curtain has been pulled, and the Mazda6 has been debuted again, this time at the Paris Motor Show. This is the Mazda6 wagon's first official appearance, and we must say, both models are looking sexy.
Of course, introduction in Paris means nothing regarding the scraps Mazda will send across the pond to the New World. But we can only hope that both the 2014 Mazda6 sedan and Mazda6 wagon will be offered, as will the SKYACTIV diesel engines. Mazda claims that the diesel mill will squeeze out fuel economy numbers in the mid-50s.
The sedan will be available in Europe with 143 hp 2.0-liter and 163 hp 2.5-liter gasoline engines, as well as 148 hp or 173 hp 2.2-liter diesels. Engines will be mated either to a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that the North American Mazda6 will include this delicious range of options, but I wouldn't bet my yank dollars on such a thing coming to pass.
