Carmakers are apparently convinced that short "sneak previews" of new products are sexy and attention-grabbing instead of asinine and pointless. But here we are, writing up the 2013 Nissan Altima.
What do we see in eight seconds of video? Well, less than half of that is the car, followed by the Nissan logo and a Brian Eno-ish set of tones. The car itself is a sedan, and it has a roof. Spy photographers commonly say that overhead shots are the least interesting and informative; this might as well be their standing example.
At least all the body panels are the same color this time.
Unless there's yet another quickie-glimpse video in the works, the rest of the high-waisted replacement for Nissan's core American product will be revealed during April's New York Auto Show.
