2011 Scion tC: The GT-R’s "Mini Me"

The Playstation generation hearts them some GT-R, but they don't have jobs so they can't afford one. Solution: The 2011 Scion tC apes some of the fast Nissan's styling cues, but the rest is crappy Toyota parts.

[gallery 5506518]The 2011 tC wheelbase and size remains the same as the outgoing model, but inside its slightly larger and the 2.4-liter four-cylinder is ousted in favor of a 2.5-liter, 180 HP, 173 Lb-Ft four-cylinder engine. Progress?

I'm having trouble seeing any styling association with the GT-R.

The first thing I thought of when I saw that car was the Dodge Avenger. Boxy proportions, high belt line, short trunk lid. It could also pass for the Accord's little brother. And the rear looks like a Saturn.

The car looks a bit better than my associations might imply but it is, without question, bland. The last generation was much better looking.
