Prices for the engine-upgraded 2011 Ford Mustang have mysteriously found their way to the Internet. Starting prices for V6 and GT models are up to $22,995 and $30,495 — a price jump of $750 and $1,250 respectively.
Although the 2010 model year saw the upgraded body, the 2011 model year gets the real meat n' potatoes upgrade with both the base and GT models getting major improvements in the engine department. For another $750 you drop the lame Cologne V6 for a new 3.7-liter Duratec V6 with an additional 95 HP. And while there's nothing wrong with the 4.6-liter modular V8, there's so much right about the new 5.0-liter V8 in the 2011 Mustang GT for just $1,250 over the current GT model. Is it worth it?
In a word, yes.
