Despite last year's refresh, our friends at PickupTrucks.com tell us we should expect the 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty to get a bit more Super Chief-like newish nose along with the 6.2-liter V8 under hood.
Here's what our friends at PickupTrucks.com have to say about what we should expect from the new Super-Duper Duty from Ford:
Mechanically, we expect the 2011 Super Duty will carry over Ford's 6.7-liter Scorpion V-8 diesel that's expected to debut in the 2010 trucks. The gas engine is expected to be the new 6.2-liter premium V-8, which should replace the 6.8-liter V-10 next year. Another major powertrain change is the likely end of manual transmissions, though the engineering mules in these pictures show Ford continuing its unique tradition of manual-locking front hubs for four-wheel-drive Super Duty trucks."
So the end of the manny tranny, but a smaller, more efficient 6.2-liter V8 under the hood. Well, you gotta give something to get something. We're just not sure we're happy with what we'll get for what we've got to give up. Of course, we're not in the market for a big ol' pick-me-up truck. [via PickupTrucks.com]
