I believe the Diehard Platinum batteries are re-badged Odyssey AGM batteries. I picked one up to replace my stock Subaru battery, and it's been a champ. It more than doubled my CCA (390 to 850), and has a much higher capacity, even though they are the same group size. No longer does my car have any hesitation starting up on cold mornings.

One thing to consider is that the Diehard Plat battery was noticeably heavier than the stock unit, so if you're looking for a lightweight performance battery, I suggest you look elsewhere.

They aren't cheap, but they're cheaper than comparable Odyssey and Optima batteries, and probably better quality than the Optima (if recent reviews are to be believed). Plus, I didn't have to give them my 1-year old battery as an exchange, so I was able to sell that privately and subsidize the cost further. All told, I think I only spent $150 on one of the best batteries on the market.
