And sure, I figured y’all had some quality stuff worth sharing, but I never expected the turnout. It’s a car I wanted since I was 10 and saw it at the local auto show. I found it 3 years ago in the garage of an elderly couple. They used it at their Florida house when they went down for the winters. 48,000 miles when I got it and 53,000 now. It was a little sad and dirty when I got it, but I am always working on making it better and better. I have replaced almost every suspension and steering component and also everything that was replaceable under the hood so it drives and runs like a new car. It’s not some fancy exotic, but I am glad I have been able to preserve it and won’t let anyone destroy it.

My garage only holds one of my two cars, because the other is too tall to fit. I have a 2004 E46 M3, and a 1996 Lexus LX450 that is fully built for overland travel. The M3 sees track duty (when it’s working), but is mainly a street build. The LX sees off-road parks, mud and rocks, and is always working. I actually bought the LX after seeing it listed on NPCP a few years back, so thanks to Jalopnik for that! I’ve been a land cruiser fanatic for a decade now, and the M3 was the car I drooled over in high school, so I’m pretty proud of the pairing that I rock these days.

The newest addition to the garage is my ‘22 Hyundai Elantra N (6MT), I am in love with this car. I’ve only had it about a month, haven’t even gotten plates on it yet.

I don’t have a garage, but in my driveway is an unremarkable 2006 Volvo V70 (named Pandora) that, as of today, I have agreed to say goodbye to. 4,709mm of Swedish utility. 2 litres across five cylinders of forced induction mediocrity. And yet, with nearly 350,000km on the clock (more than two-thirds I put on in the five years I’ve owned the car), she has served me well, with only minor niggles. She’s saved my life. She’s helped me move house three times. She’s been an ambulance and a commuter and has taken us on countless recreational miles through every single one of the 32 counties on the island of Ireland. Relegated the last few months to being a doggy bus, it’s just too expensive to keep taxed and insured and she’s developed a significant oil leak and both left wheels are damaged to the point of not holding tyre pressure.

My current cars: ‘87 Shelby CSX #321, ‘89 Shelby CSX-VNT #321 (see user name), ‘02 Buick Regal 3.8L (my son is driving), ‘04 SRT-4 Neon (my daily), ‘14 Buick Regal 2.0L turbo (my FIL’s, but he doesn’t drive now so I drive it occasionally), ‘16 Ford Fusion 2.0L turbo, and I have the rolling shell of an ‘82 Dodge Rampage.

I need to get rid of the Rampage. Years ago my dad and I were going to build it like the Hotwheels model, but we decided it was too rusty and not a good starting point. I’ve had the CSXes for a long time, but I’m about to try to sell them. They’ve just been sitting in the garage, and somebody else should take them now so they don’t deteriorate. I bought the SRT-4 new almost 250K miles ago, and plan to drive it until it falls apart. Fun little car!

This was a great little read until this morning, when our author updated it to share this awful, unfortunate development:

Well, I wish they were *in* a garage now. This morning a tree fell on the SRT-4 and the newer Regal. :( Lots of damage to the SRT, but it might be repairable. The Regal somehow seems to have an amazingly small amount of damage, for what happened.

That sucks, CSX321! Our deepest condolences. Hopefully that SRT4 is fixable and it’s only a matter of time before it returns alongside its agile, small Pentastar-badged brethren.

This is my latest toy that I picked up. bought it from the original owner, who took rather good care of it.... Got it fired up a couple weeks ago. first time in about 5 years according to the log book... been messing with the carbs for about a week... waiting for parts, etc... got it running quite smoothly this week.

mounted fresh rubber at all 4 corners and took it out for it’s first drive on sunday.

‘58 Citroen 2cv, ‘86 Renault LeCar, and ‘87 Jeep XJ, all in a 2-car carport.

A coach-built 1964 F100 crewcab truck. A private-party order from Ellsworth Harrold Ford in Sacramento built by Crown. Dad bought it in 1965, ordered a custom extended overcab camper (Safari brand, wish I still had it) and we traveled all over the west in it. I own and drive it now with 350k miles on the original drivetrain.

My dad bought the Audi when I was 2, and now it’s my daily driver and current project car. It works fine, but needs a bit of love after being street parked everyday for the last 12 years. The bike is also mine, and quite a lot less reliable than the Audi. I plan to buy something newer, like a Cupra Formentor or a V60 Cross Country with a bit of a strech, but I’ll keep the Audi until I die. The bike... we will see how she goes...
