A terrifying crash in Washington involving two logging trucks left one driver seriously injured Thursday morning, after giant logs flew off one truck and through the entire cab of the other. Somehow, the driver with all the logs lodged into his truck reportedly escaped uninjured. The driver carrying the logs, meanwhile, ended up in the hospital.

The trucks were traveling in the middle lane on Interstate 5 in the city of Tacoma around 10 a.m. Thursday, when they suddenly encountered heavy traffic, reports The News Tribune.

The first truck slowed down, but the second driver behind them wasn’t able to pump the brakes fast enough. When the driver slammed into the first truck’s loaded trailer, logs flew off and into the truck’s cab, according to The News Tribune.

Remarkably, the driver in the second truck—seen in the photo up top—escaped without any injuries. The driver of the first truck suffered broken ribs and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.

Thankfully, there weren’t any further injuries reported. But I’ll probably feel a little hesitant the next time I’m on the highway behind a logging truck.
