Today is President’s Day which marks the birthday of both George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. I’m honoring our nation’s past leaders in the only way I know how, blogging about cars on the internet.Everyone knows that George Washington probably would have driven a big American SUV or muscle car. He just seems like that kind of guy.
Abraham Lincoln, on the other hand, is a little more complex. He was famously very tall, wore a stovepipe hat and had a quiet demeanor. If Jalopnik has taught me anything, Lincoln did in fact invent the Lincoln Motor Company but I don’t think he would drive one. He was too humble for that. I think he would own a Ford Taurus wagon that he used to drive during his law school days just because it hasn’t broken down yet.
