Automotive technology has come a long, long way since the 1920s, nearly a century ago, but one automotive development from that bygone era has never beens surpassed: the truly surprised-looking car. Lancia pulled it off first, with the perpetually-shocked-looking Lancia Lambda.
Some automotive historians like to point out that the Lambda was also the very first car to use the now nearly-universal unibody construction method, but we all know that pales in comparison to the car’s true achievement, a visage that looks like it’s perpetually horrified.
Lancia’s engineers and researchers calculated the ideal ratio of headlamp size, position, and the relation to the large, almost perfectly square grille-mouth. The result is a face that looks like it’s just seen two sasquatches fucking.
Let’s enjoy some more shocked Lambdas, shall we?
“WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?”
“MOTHER OF GOD WHAT THE HELL AM I SEEING?”
“....oh my god oh my god oh my god...”
“AAAHAHHHHHH MAKE HIM STOP MAKE HIM STOP!”
“EAAAAGH!”
Anyway, you get the idea.
