If you didn’t go to Radwood 2 in Anaheim this weekend, I’m about to make you feel really bad. I’m sorry.
The second-ever ‘80s and ‘90s car show, organized by the guys from the podcasts Driving While Awesome!, Cammed & Tubbed and Clutchkick and sponsored by Jalopnik, was an unquestionable success. The show had some 300 very rad cars come out and a huge crowd of very good people, many of whom embraced the rad look with period costumes.
There were Motocompos. There were Cressidas. There were air-cooled 911s and off-road Mitsubishi vans and Corvettes and Peugeots. There were wood-paneled wagons and LeBarons. There were Martys McFly, Magnums P.I., and more white blazers and acid-wash jean jackets than I could count. There were so many digital watches.
The Phoenix Club was an amazing venue for the show, and the folks from Clarion and Mazda brought some stuff out of their vaults just for fun, because they’re cool like that.
We at Jalopnik have a lot more coming from Radwood 2, including our own photos and video tours. For now, enjoy this Instagram roundup I threw together and enjoy not just the cars but also the people who made this so good.
I think this needs to happen again. But where, and when?
