The new Need For Speed game, Need For Speed Payback, promises us way more cars than its previous versions. Of course, we wanted to know which cars we’d be racing, drifting, off-roading and crashing with. Electronic Arts and Ghost Games revealed the list earlier this week and it’s... quite good.
Yes, 74 is a decent amount lower than the 700 in Forza 7 and the 160-ish in Gran Turismo Sport, but Payback is a different kind of game. It’s not about setting the fastest lap time, it’s about getting away from cops, crashing and causing general mayhem.

It seems like there will be a little something for everyone here. Toys for the Porschephiles, supercar fanatics, muscle fans and the JDM crowd. It’s just not clear which of these cars will be barn finds and which won’t be, though.
The cars were modeled using CAD data from the automakers, explains Autoblog. The finishing touches were added by the game’s developers. And, “the cars all use sound recorded by cars driven on the street. Apparently they’re all rigged up with various microphones to capture the sound as accurately as possible.”
Need For Speed Payback will be out for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on Nov. 10.
