As these things tend to go, it started with some eggs. Last week, a Florida woman, Kathleen Davis, discovered the man she was having an affair with (her son-in-law) had told his wife (Davis’ daughter) about their relationship. So, police say, Davis threw eggs at his house, before attempting to run him over with her Mercedes.
Davis, 58, admitted to Florida police that she had an affair with her 33-year-old son-in-law, according to the Palm Beach Post. The disclosure to her daughter ruined their relationship, Davis said in a police report obtained by the Post.
Here’s what happened next, courtesy of the Post:
That led Davis on Sept. 20 to the man’s house in the 4400 block of Crestdale Street, west of Interstate 95 and north of Northlake Boulevard, where she allegedly tossed several eggs at his residence and vehicles. When police arrived, they saw Davis driving in circles in the front yard of the house while attempting to hit the man with her Mercedes.
It doesn’t appear the daughter’s looking to mend her relationship with her husband, either. The pair are currently embroiled in divorce proceedings, according to the Post.
Davis, meanwhile, faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, the Post reports. She was released form Palm Beach County Jail after posting a $3,000 bond, the newspaper said.
