“Yeah!” you think one day. “I’ll do it myself! I’ll replace the whole front end! Then I’ll drop in a new engine. And then get to the bottom of that electrical gremlin that’s been triggering my windshield wipers on odd-numbered days.”
Flush with enthusiasm, you head out to the garage, gung ho about how well the project will turn out. You pour in obscene amounts of dollars and hours.
And sometimes, it’s just not enough. The problem doesn’t go away. The engine just won’t run as smoothly as you want it to.
