Uber’s ex-CEO Travis Kalanick recently quit while the company he built churns through the news like a flash flood through a waste treatment plant. How did Uber’s corporate culture get so bad? What kind of boss runs a shop like this? Someone who, apparently, can sit in a hot tub for eight to 10 hours.

This news has been making the rounds thanks to this stunning tweet:

Amazingly, this information came out all the way back in 2015 in a now-archived Bloomberg article ‘Uber Investor Chris Sacca Predicts Technology Industry Decline.’ Thankfully for all of us on the internet now, Dealbreaker quoted that article in a story of its own titled ‘Billionaire Tech Investor Uses Hot Tub Endurance Test To Pick Winners, Because Science.’ In it is the choice quote:

Travis Kalanick, chief executive officer of Uber, the San Francisco-based car-booking service, had better manners — and impressed Sacca in other ways.

“Travis can spend eight to 10 hours in a hot tub,” Sacca said. “I’ve never seen a human with that kind of staying power in a hot tub.”

I do not even know how this is possible. How many bro parties do you even need to attend to make this happen? How many lite beers do you need to crush at ski lodges to even clock in the hours to build this kind of endurance? How do you not cook?

Kalanick. This dude is shitty Aquaman.
